JOB TITLE: NATIONAL PROGRAMME LEAD – MEMBER SUPPORT AND ENGAGEMENT

LOCATION: Offices of the FRC National Forum, Castlegar/Ballinfoile
Neighbourhood Centre, Headford Road, Galway with possibility for
remote working based on an agreed approach to hybrid working.

TERMS:

This is a full-time position for 5 days a week. The salary is aligned
to the pre-October * Health Sector, Clerical
Officer Grade 7 Salary Scale starting at €**Apply on the

pension contribution after six months. This is a one-year fixed term
contract initially, but with a possibility of renewal on a
multi-annual basis, subject to funding. The contract is subject to a
6-month probationary period. Increments will be awarded subject to
performance appraisal and subject to funding. Secondment arrangements
will be considered. The National Programme Lead’s role is part of an
integrated senior leadership team, along with two existing National
Programme Leads, reporting to the CEO.

JOB PURPOSE:

The National Programme Leads support the CEO to provide senior
leadership for the development of the National Community and Family
Resource Centre Programme (the Programme) whilst leading on specific
areas of work as assigned by the CEO. The National Programme Lead role
involves leadership and management across operational; financial;
human resource; risk; communications; and strategic areas of work. The
National Programme Leads may be required to deputise for the CEO as
and when required.

The specific focus of this National Programme Lead will be on FRC
MEMBER SUPPORT AND ENGAGEMENT including programme and practice
development; implementation support; quality improvement; evidence
informed practice and model fidelity. This focus will be subject to
review in line with the operational and strategic needs of the
Programme.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

_ESSENTIAL_

* Have a relevant third level qualification, such as community
development, social care, family support, social work, or other
relevant area.
* Have a strong knowledge and understanding of a human rights-based
approach to, community development and family support across the
life-course.
* Have an understanding of the needs and strengths of children,
families, individuals and communities and the impact of poverty and
inequality on them.
* A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience working within a
community context.
* Excellent communications and ICT skills.
* Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset.
* Willingness to learn and adapt and encourages the same in others.
* Flexible, with ability to work on own initiative and
co-operatively as part of a team, experience leading, managing, and
motivating others.

_DESIRABLE_

* Knowledge of the tasks involved in undertaking and managing
research projects relevant to community development and family
support.
* Knowledge of human resource and financial management and reporting
related to national programme implementation.
* Experience of building and developing strong working relationships
within a team, a member network and with stakeholders.
* Understanding of implementation science, improvement science,
systems thinking, evidence-based and evidence-informed practice.
